If the Central Cays of Elbow (Hopetown) and Man-O-War can boast of their Loyalist heritage, evident in the architecture and charming small town ways of life, then Green Turtle Cay can hold its own in the North with the same boasts.  Little New Plymouth, is home to artist Alton Lowe, the Albert Lowe Museum, New Plymouth Inn (180 years old) and the historical Sculpture Gardens.  Once a haven for the actual green turtle species. sponging, and pineapples, Green Turtle Cay is a favorite for anglers, scuba divers, sun worshipers and souvenir hunters.  The ubiquitous cay golf cart and bicycles are quit evident here and arranging a sea-tour to one of the other outlying islets for a day in the sun, fishing and beach barbecuing seems to be the reason for existence to some residents.
